Martin Locke, boss of Solar Tackle and genuine all round nice guy has just smashed the World Carp Record with the capture of Rainbow's Lakes largest resident at 94lb demolishing the previous record of 91lb held by the 'Scarred Mirror' from Luc Moffatts water - 'The Graviers' in France. Fishing from Peg 12 in what must have been one of the slowest weeks fishing at Rainbow this winter when temperatures dropped to minus -6 resulting in only 4 fish being caught, this was Lockey's only bite which he tempted using his companies own Solar Club Mix boilies fished with a Top Banana Everlasting Pop-Up in the middle. ACE would like to congratulate Martin on this historic achievement which continued the recent run of massive Rainbow fish he's caught! We'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Martin for his help in the development and testing of our i-3 bite alarms which he was using during the session and we'd like to thank him for allowing us to play a small part in this capture and to once again reiterate..........it couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke! |
